A Level Human Biology,  NVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy Qualification, Anatomy and Physiology Qualification or a Deluxe Facial Certificate – this course is available at Total.



What is Dermaplaning?

Designed for medical professionals, beauty therapists and dermal clinicians, a new treatment option to add to your clinic.

The perfect advanced treatment option to add to your skin service menu, Dermaplaning is a fantastic prepping treatment prior to peels, enzyme treatments as well as increasing the penetration of active ingredients in professional and home care products.

Upon successful completion of the course you will receive an accredited certificate in this area.

Course Content:

  • Follow health and safety procedures including sanitation and infection control
  • Understand the history and purpose of Dermaplaning.
  • Consult with your client, identify contraindications and attain consent.
  • Correctly handle and manoeuvre the surgical blade.
  • Perform a complete Dermaplaning procedure.
  • Identify clinical end-points and troubleshooting protocols.
  • Provide post-procedural home care advice.
  • Recommend support skin care products, upsell add on services and rebook.
